Prevent Revenue Leaks from Illegal Use of Your On-Demand Applications

Try SaaS Pass Now

ISV's providing SaaS applications face potential revenue loss from customers that share their subscriptions with others. Sharing of login information (user name and password) has become more common with on-demand software. As a result, unauthorized users are also getting access to end-user data that they don't necessarily have permission to access. Currently, ISV's are challenged with controlling access to SaaS application data and ensuring authenticated legal use of their on-demand services.

The HASP SRM SaaS Pass Solution

HASP SRM SaaS Pass helps SaaS providers maximize their revenue by preventing users from sharing their login information with others. Because SaaS Pass only allows users from authorized computers to access your on-demand applications, you protect your subscription revenues and control access to sensitive end-user software. HASP SRM SaaS Pass is built upon award winning Aladdin technology that is field-proven and used by over 30,000 ISV's around the world.

Benefits for the ISV/Service Provider
  • Assures revenues by ensuring that login information and access to sensitive data is not shared, either inside or outside the end-user's organization
  • Enhances security of the providers existing SaaS authentication system
  • Enables SaaS providers to enforce subscription terms

Benefits for the SaaS End-User
  • Provides better compliance with contract agreements
  • Enables more control over use of service
  • Ensures that only authorized users can access SaaS services
  • Ensures controlled access to sensitive end-user data

How HASP SRM SaaS Pass Works

HASP SRM SaaS Pass prevents end-users from sharing their subscriptions by locking the end-user machine with a pre-defined license/subscription model, and requiring login to SaaS services with machine authentication. This effectively ties access to the service to an authorized machine (one on which a software client has been previously activated using the HASP SRM Activation Server).

The solution is based on a small client application installed on the end-user's machine (or machines) that communicates over the Internet with a server-side application in the service provider data center. This client application is responsible for passing encrypted login information to the provider's server, which can then authenticate the user and that service access is being attempted from an authorized machine.
