SafeWord is Now Part of Aladdin Knowledge Systems!

On September 4^th, Aladdin Knowledge Systems completed its acquisition of  the SafeWord product line from Secure Computing.  As you know, SafeWord is well known as the one-time-password solution for leading remote access products from Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft and other vendors. SafeWord now joins a broad  portfolio of authentication solutions from Aladdin, including the eToken family of USB and OTP devices, as well as PKI and token management software solutions.

Aladdin is 100% committed to the SafeWord product line and will continue to offer the same great authentication solutions and the same great service and support you have come to expect from SafeWord. The SafeWord product vision, sales and pricing model, service and support, and the way SafeWord does business with you will all stay intact.   

The integration of SafeWord into the Aladdin product family offers a great opportunity for you to take advantage of a wider range of products and services. We know you will have many questions, so we have prepared a short Q&A to address these:

Can I still buy the same SafeWord products?
Absolutely yes. Nothing changes in the product line – same great products, same great service. You can even continue to use the same part numbers when ordering. And in the coming months, Aladdin will announce its plans for new products and features that will expand the offering even further.

With whom do I place my orders?
Continue to place your orders with the authorized reseller of your choice. Everyone who sold SafeWord products in the past is authorized to sell them now.

Who will fill the orders and will there be any delays?Secure Computing will provide fulfillment services for Aladdin for the next several months to ensure that there is no interruption in order fulfillment. Aladdin and Secure Computing are working together to ensure a smooth transition and no delays in delivering customer orders. The processes for shipment and product activation will remain the same during the  transition period.

What will happen with open orders that I placed for SafeWord products that have not yet been shipped?
These will be filled by Aladdin with the same great SafeWord products through whomever you placed your order.

Will the prices change?
Prices for customers are set by SafeWord resellers. Aladdin is keeping in place the same business model so you should see no changes to prices for SafeWord products.

Customer Service, Technical Support and Warranty Information

SafeWord customers can continue to expect world-class, 24x7 customer service and technical support  . All support and warranty commitments to  SafeWord customers will remain unchanged. Customers should continue to renew support annually as they have done previously.

Whom do I contact for technical support?
Secure Computing will provide technical support for all SafeWord products during the transition period. You can continue to access telephone and online support in the same manner as before.  


How do I handle token replacement?
Token warranty replacements will continue to follow the same process until further notice. As before, you must be granted a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number to receive replacement tokens.
