Secure Computing Named Reader Trust Finalist in SC Magazine Award Program and Best of 2006 in Three Categories

Breadth of Company's Security Technology Strength Represented in Instant Messaging, Web Filtering, Network Gateway, Authentication and Firewall Protection Categories

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Secure Computing Corporation (Nasdaq: SCUR), a leading enterprise gateway security company, today announced that readers of SC Magazine have named the company's products as finalists in the publication's 2007 awards program for outstanding achievement in information-technology (IT) security in three categories -- Best Enterprise Firewall for Sidewinder G2(R) Security Appliance, Best Instant Messaging Security Solution for IronIM(TM) and Best Web Filtering Solution for SmartFilter(R). At the same time, the magazine named Secure Computing's TSP 7300 firewall product, SafeWord(R) PremierAccess(R) authentication offering and Webwasher(R) SCM Web content filtering technology to its Best of 2006 list.

Secure Computing's products were among 100 finalists in 20 Reader Trust categories. Placement in the SC Magazine Awards program is based on voting by more than 9,000 of the publication's readers. In addition, the Company's Best of 2006 products were judged on 50 general points in six evaluation categories. Two of the entries, TSP 7300 and Webwasher SCM, were named "Best Buy," SC Magazine's highest product review rating.
