Product Life Cycle Information

Changes in market demand and technology innovation often lead to the end of a product's lifecycle. When this occurs, the product and/or its support services may no longer be available. We understand that customers would prefer to know of changes in Aladdin's products' availability in advance. Therefore, we have adopted an End of Support policy that comprises several stages before final product End of Support is reached.

Policies related to product life stages vary by product. Our product life cycle programs assume that our customers stay relatively current with the latest released version of our products, and upgrade their SafeWord software as new releases become available.

Support Levels

Aladdin's Authentication products have different support levels associated with the given phases of their life cycle as follows:

 
Support Level Description
None Authentication support team does not accept support calls for the product. The customer is required to upgrade to a current product Version to obtain support.
Limited Authentication support team accepts supports calls for the product and shall assist the customer in providing a workaround for solving the issue. In general, new updates are not developed to products in Limited Support status.
Supported Authentication support team fully supports the product in accordance with the applicable support agreement and policies.
 

Product Support Policy

Whereas there may be certain exceptions with respect to certain products, Aladdin's general support policy is to have a product version supported for two years following the release of a subsequent version, as follows:

  • For the first 12 months after a new version is released – the previous version will be Fully Supported.
  • For the next 12 months after Full Support ends – the previous version will receive Limited Support.
  • Following the expiration of the foregoing 24 months, the previous version shall receive No Support.

As a condition to providing support of any kind, Aladdin may require customers to update their products to the latest Service Pack/s and/or Maintenance Release/s of a supported product version. Aladdin shall not be obligated to provide technical support for non-Aladdin software, modifications to the Aladdin software, or problems associated with products running on operating systems and third party software that are no longer supported by their vendor.
